Nikolay Katerov

Chief Winemaker

Nikolay Katerov is a graduate of Wine Technology at the University of Food Technology in Plovdiv. He has many years of experience in wineries both in Bulgaria and abroad. He had worked in Australia and New Zealand, where his love for vinification of Sauvignon Blanc bore. He has been part of Midalidare's team since launching the project and has been involved in the creation and development of the company since its very beginning. Yet, his joint work with Alexander Aleksiev had started years earlier. Currently, he is also working on the traditional sparkling winemaking project and is actively involved in the construction of the new Sparkling Winery.

Attractive, firm, varietal citrus nose dominated by ripe lemon and fresh grass with subtle herbal notes of nettle and elderberry.

Midalidare Reserve

The intense bouquet is dominated by aromas of ripe black cherry, juicy plum and mulberry, enhanced by spices, fine notes of smoke, raw cocoa and vanilla and delicate wood tone.

Rose de Mourvedre Single Barrel

Extremely fruity on the nose, bouquet of ripe fruits like raspberry, sour cherry and gooseberry is toned up by mineral notes, fresh strawberry leaf, and pleasant citrus tart.
